ORPHAN TRAIL SAFARIS

INCLUDING LUMO CONSERVANCY

Our tours that include Lumo Conservancy are perfect for elephant lovers, elephant foster parents & ‘would-be supporters’ of the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.

You will experience visiting the Giraffe Centre and the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust’s Elephant Orphanage in Nairobi on an exclusive private basis mingling with the ‘nursery orphan herd’ while chatting with their Head Keeper.

You will then transfer to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust’s Reintegration Units in Tsavo whilst staying at the SWT’s private Eco-Camps; Ithumba Camp or Ithumba Hill Camp and Umani Springs.

Here you will learn more about the ‘Orphans Project’ experience being ‘up close & personal’ with the orphaned elephants and their Keepers, often accompanied by ex-orphans and wild elephants.

During your safari, you will stay at Lion’s Bluff Camp in the Lumo Conservancy where you will experience a traditional-style wildlife safari and also visit the SWT reintegration unit at Voi to meet the orphans in their stockades.

READ WHAT OUR PAST GUESTS ARE SAYING

"The itinerary was perfectly planned. The eco-lodges were all very comfortable with superb service and gourmet food. Every day was an adventure with wonderful unplanned surprises on the game drives. The safari groups are intimate, 6 people, with like minded people. Beverly's special access to SWT staff and elephants is just incredible."

“I have wanted to visit the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust eco lodges for some time, but didn't think it would be possible as one must book the entire lodge. But then I found Beverly at OTS, who works with couples and individuals to put together groups of up to 6 people who travel together to the various Sheldrick Wildlife Trust lodges.”

"Beverly is passionate about Kenya, Conservation & of course elephants. She is dedicated to delivering the kind of life-changing experiences that are entirely customizable & authentic. She uniquely curated (transportation, itinerary, lodging, meals etc) and guided our small group elephant-centric tour that allowed for up-close-and-personal access to the SWT orphans, ex-orphans & their keepers. Her attention to detail and tailored itinerary is first class".

- Stephanie Adams & Heather Steede

"Beverly took care of everything. From the moment we stepped off the plane in Nairobi, we were in her capable hands. Beverly put together an amazing 11-night tour that exceeded all expectations. In addition to the delicious meals and beautiful lodgings (the Sheldrick eco-lodges at Ithumba Hill & Umani Springs are exceptional), Beverly created a "real thinking persons" itinerary, these expertly planned journeys truly are the experience of a lifetime".
